Tropheus duboisi

Tropheus duboisi, or the White-Spotted Cichlid, is a vibrant Lake Tanganyika cichlid known for its dramatic color change: juveniles are black with white spots, while adults develop a blue-black body with a blue face and a striking yellow or white vertical band, making them popular but demanding aquarium fish due to their aggressive, territorial nature and specialized algae-based diet.
