Collection: BETTAS
Betta fish, or Siamese fighting fish, are tropical freshwater fish from Southeast Asia known for their vibrant colors and flowing fins, which have been developed through selective breeding. While captive bettas are dazzling, their wild counterparts are dull and green, using their bright colors for mating displays. They are territorial, especially males, which led to their historical use in fighting matches. They typically grow to a few inches in length and are characterized by overlapping scales, a mucus layer, and the ability to breathe air from the surface, in addition to absorbing oxygen from the water through their gills
