Electric Marble OB AHLI Cichlid

An "Electric Marble OB Cichlid" is a stunning, selectively bred hybrid African cichlid, often an Aulonocara (Peacock) crossed with an Mbuna carrying the "Orange Blotch" (OB) gene, resulting in vibrant blue hues with unique marbled patterns, requiring a large tank with similar-sized, semi-aggressive Malawi cichlids, a high-protein diet, and stable, hard, alkaline water to thrive. 

• Appearance: A mix of electric blue (from Electric Blue Ahli parentage) and mottled orange/dark blotches (from the OB gene).
• Type: A hybrid, not naturally occurring, often called the "koi of the cichlid world".
• Temperament: Semi-aggressive and territorial, best kept with other African cichlids.
• Size: Can reach 5-7 inches (12-15 cm). 

• Tank Size: Minimum 150 liters (around 40 gallons), but larger is better for territoriality.
• Water Parameters:
  • Temperature: 76-82°F (24-28°C).
  • pH: 7.8-8.6 (alkaline).
  • GH: 4-10 dGH (hard).
• Diet: High-protein diet of pellets, flakes, brine shrimp, krill, and occasional vegetables.
• Tank Setup: Provide plenty of rocks for caves and hiding spots, mimicking Lake Malawi conditions. 

• Keep with other similar-sized Malawi cichlids like other Peacocks or Haps (e.g., Copadichromis, Protomelas).
• Avoid mixing with much smaller fish due to their semi-aggressive nature.
