Brichardi Cichlid (*Neolamprologus brichardi)

The Brichardi Cichlid (*Neolamprologus brichardi), also called the Fairy or Princess Cichlid, is an elegant, pale-bodied fish from Lake Tanganyika known for its flowing fins, lyre-shaped tail, and intricate social behavior, forming cooperative breeding colonies with shared fry defense in rocky, cave-filled aquariums. They grow about 3-4 inches, have a tan/silvery-blue base with blue spots, and are relatively hardy but territorial, needing rock structures and a proper Tanganyikan water chemistry (high pH, warm temps).
