Red Lipstick Goby Sicyopus rubicundus

The Red Lipstick Goby (Sicyopus rubicundus), is a freshwater species native to the islands of the Indo-Pacific. They are uncommon in the aquarium hobby, adding to their allure as a unique, sought-after fish. They inhabit clear, well oxygenated, rocky streams and feed on biofilms off the rocks. These peaceful gobies make great tankmates in a mellow community tank. When kept in groups, they will also exhibit interesting behaviors such as courtship behaviors and females congregation!
