Red Frontosa (Cyphotilapia frontosa)

The Red Frontosa (Cyphotilapia frontosa color morph) is a stunning, large cichlid known for its deep red or reddish-brown vertical stripes against a white/pale blue body, a pronounced nuchal hump (forehead bump), and long, flowing fins, developing from Taiwanese line-breeding of "North" Frontosas for vibrant coloration, offering a generally peaceful, slow-moving addition to large, hard-water tanks with ample caves and dim lighting, though they can grow over a foot long.
