Maingano cichlid

The Maingano cichlid is a vibrant, electric blue and black fish from Lake Malawi, characterized by dark navy bodies with lighter blue horizontal stripes. They are semi-aggressive, require a rocky environment with caves, and are best kept in a species-only tank with a single male to several females to minimize aggression. These are mouthbrooders, with the female carrying and protecting the eggs until they hatch.
