Guianacara dacrya (Bandit Cichlid)

Guianacara dacrya, or the Bandit Cichlid, is a peaceful South American cichlid known for a distinctive dark stripe below its eye, white spots on its spiny dorsal fin, and potential filaments on its fins, reaching about 12-15 cm (5 inches). Native to Guyana and Brazil's Essequibo and Rio Branco river systems, they thrive in well-filtered tanks with caves, suitable for community aquariums with similar-sized fish, accepting pellets, flakes, and frozen foods.
