Biohome Ultimate Marine

Biohome Ultimate Marine Media is made for saltwater aquarium,made from industrial grade material to ensure a long working life.

Biohome Ultimate Marine is an efficient biological filter media and good mechanical filtration must be provided to insure the water passing through it does not contain any debris that might clog it and reduce efficiency.

Biohome Ultra

Biohome Ultra Media is a large media and has a extremely porous structure. It allows both nitrifying (aerobic) and denitrifying (anaerobic) bacteria to grow on and through it’s unique structure. We recommend a low flow rate to provide maximum contact time.

Biohome Maxi

Large sized Filter Media. Suitable for sumps. Biohome Maxi Ultimate Marine is essentially the Biohome Ultra with added trace elements to increase bacteria performance and has a porosity of approx. 50%. You can check out the extreme porosity of the Ultimate Marine yourself by touching just the tip of a piece media to the surface of some water. You’ll be amazed at how fast the water is drawn up the entire length.

Biohome Standard Media

Biohome 'Standard' is most suitable for internal, small external, hang-on-back (HOB) and overhead aquarium filters. It may be broken up into smaller pieces to fit into smaller filter chambers but for very small situations Biogravel may be more suitable.

Biohome SuperBiogravel Filter Media

SuperBiogravel can be used as filter media or a substrate in aquariums which have an under gravel system where it acts as not only a substrate but also an effective filter media too.

Many internal and HOB filters will have very limited provision for biological media so SuperBiogravel is perfect to boost performance by offering an efficient media for bacterial action to occur.

Biohome BioGravel Filter/Substrate Media

The latest development from Biohome, Biogravel is the ideal substrate for your tanks. It will not increase pH, supports growth of zooplankton and is the perfect playground for shimp. Having a porosity of approx. 42% it performs at a similar level to the Biohome Standard and Plus with the added benefit of being small enough to be used in very small situations.

It is most suitable as a shrimp and plant substrate, media for under gravel filter, internal filters, HOB filters and DIY filters made from ornaments.
