The Geophagus altifrons "Rio Araguari" is a beautiful South American "eartheater" cichlid known for its iridescent blue/red hues, mild temperament (for a cichlid), and constant substrate sifting behavior, growing up to 10-12 inches, requiring soft, acidic water, a large tank with sand, and peaceful tank mates, often kept in groups for best color.
Fish in poor shape. Would not buy from this retailer again.

This place is great I've placed to large orders 20 fish each and the fish are of exceptional quality. They're shipping technique is completely dialed in. When I received my fish they were so lively I was amazed! I acclimated them let them go and they started feeding immediately. I was skeptical of the whole buying fish and having them ship thing. After my first two orders, I realized there is nothing to worry about with that. I also had a couple questions, and the communication was quick and the knowledgeable staff was able to answer my questions. I also like there high quality fish food.I would highly recommend this company!

This fish was a surprise for me. I ordered off the picture thinking, "He looks like he might be different". Once I got him, he is now one of my favorite fish. Pictures do not do him justice, he is gorgeous! Highly recommend.
